The very popular Youth League will be offered on Sundays for the 2024-25 curling season. The league runs from late October (start date October 20th) – late March, with games played every Sunday at either the Callie or Highland Curling Clubs. Please pre-register on-line if possible or arrive by 2:15pm at the Callie Curling Club for registration. If you have pre registered and submitted payment please be at the Callie for 3:00 pm. We will have an overview of the Youth League, rules and etiquette at 3:15 pm in the lounge at the Callie Curling Club. Ice time will be available to all curlers immediately after the overview for teams to practice. The league offers two age categories:
- Juvenile, for curlers aged 18 and under. Each player must be 17 years of age or under on June 30, 2024. i.e. – they must be born after June 30, 2006.
- Novice, for those curlers 15 and under. Each player must be 14 years of age or under on June 30, 2024. i.e. they must be born after June 30, 2009.
You may enter individually, as a group of 2 or 3, or as a complete team. New this year we will be offering a Triples league (consists of 3 players on the team). Any combination of girls and/or boys is acceptable. Those entering individually will be placed on a team.
This is a non-instructional league. Therefore, previous instruction and/or experience, such as Curl for Kids, is beneficial.
Games are played most Sundays, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Games at the Highland will go from 4:00-6:00 Sliders and brooms are available at each of the clubs for weekly use.
The cost is $250.00 per player plus applicable fees (payable to Curl Regina) for approximately 16 games. Registrations are accepted throughout the season if we have teams needing players. Please contact Curl Regina and we will try our best to accommodate all requests.
Note: Free Broom for New Curlers to the league (must not have curled in the league previously)
